MG Motor India has unveiled the Hector Plus SUV. In addition, the company has also started booking this new SUV before launching. MG Hector Plus SUV can be booked from the MG Motor India website for Rs 50 thousand. This new SUV was showcased at the Auto Expo. Hector Plus is basically a 6-seater model of the Hector Plus SUV. To give a different look to both, the company has made some changes in the design of Hector Plus. Let us tell you in detail about this new 6-seat SUV.
Three engine option
Hector Plus SUV will come in three engine options, including 1.5-liter petrol, 1.5-liter petrol hybrid, and 2-liter diesel engines. Both petrol engines generate 143 ps of power and 250 Nm of torque. The diesel engine generates 170 ps of power and 350Nm of torque. Only a 6-speed manual gearbox will be available with the diesel engine and hybrid petrol engine. At the same time, there will be only a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with a hybrid petrol engine.

6-seater and three variants
MG Hector Plus SUV will come in 6-seater configuration at the time of launching. It has 2 Captain seats in the middle. It will be available in three variant levels – Super, Smart, and Sharp. The Super variant will be available only with diesel engines. The smart variant will be available with a diesel engine and petrol-automatic. At the same time, the top variant Sharp will be available with all three engine options.
Overall, this new SUV will be available in 6 versions, with 3 diesel engines, 2 petrol-autos, and one petrol-hybrid engine. Please tell that after some time this SUV will also come in a 7-seater option, in which the bench seat will be available in the second line.

Talking about the features, the new Hector Plus SUV will have LED headlamp, LED DRL, LED taillamp, front and rear LED fog lamps, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, leather upholstery, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, 8 Features like the 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, infinity audio system and a panoramic sunroof with color ambient lighting, 7-inch multi-information display, powered boot opening, the heat outside rearview mirrors, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Hector Plus will also come with MG’s i-smart connected car technology, which offers over 55 features such as geofencing, find my car, remote vehicle control, and voice assistants.
Safety features and color options
For safety, MG Hector Plus SUV will get features like 6-airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, ESP, traction control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill-hold assist, 360-degree parking camera, and front and rear parking sensors. Talking about the color option, this SUV has 6 color options. These include Stary Sky Blue, Glaze Red, Burgundy Red, Stary Black, Candy White, and Aurora Silver.

MG Hector Plus SUV will compete in the market with the Mahindra XUV500 and Tata’s upcoming Gravitas SUV. MG also wants to compete with Toyota Innova in its new SUV by offering a low starting price and long warranty. Apart from this, Hector Plus will also compete with Hyundai’s upcoming 7-seater Creta.
