Piaggio has brought a Limited Edition model of its popular scooter Vespa 946. This special scooter is made by Piaggio Vespa in association with the famous Parisian fashion house Christian Dior. It has been introduced under the name Vespa 946 Christian Dior Edition. This luxury scooter has been brought to give tributes to both these brands. The Vespa 946 Christian Dior scooter is designed by Christian Dior’s Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri. It is offered in beige colour with contrast blue leather seat. A Gold finish has been also given at other places including the scooter wheels, mirrors, handlebar and luggage rack. Optional accessories such as a half-face helmet, top box and bag are also available with this limited edition scooter, which carries the Dior oblique mark. Overall it is looking great.

Mechanically, this special edition scooter is like the standard Vespa 946. It has a 125cc, 3-valve, air-cooled engine identical to the standard scooter. The engine generates 11.8hp power and 10.33Nm torque.
Price and Availablity
Vespa and Christian Dior are quite old and big brands. Both of these brands were established in 1946. The company has not announced its price yet, but considering the two big brands, the price of this scooter is expected to be quite premium. The Price of this scooter is estimated around 15 lakh, which is inspired by the price of Vespa Giorgio Armani, a similarly limited edition scooter launched in 2016, and that was priced at Rs 12 lakh.

Vespa 946 Christian Dior scooter will start selling in the international market from March 2021. It will be available at select Christian Dior boutique and Piazzo Motoplex outlets. There is no announcement yet about its launch in India. However, it is believed that like the Giorgio Armani Edition, the Piazzo Vespa 946 Christian Dior can also launch scooters in the Indian market around the same time period as the international launch.
