Writing a Blog Post: More Important Than the Blog itself.

Writing a blog post is a topic that doesn’t receive much attention. If you will search the internet then you will find posts mostly answering the question of how to create a blog. But the actual number of posts telling you how to write a blog post are very few. The bigger problem is that when you search for this topic then most of the relevant articles comes up are just showing how to write an English language article. This post will target interns who want to have a career in blogging and people who are already in this field.

Points to keep in mind.

There are some points that I would like to clarify before starting. First of all, I am no self-proclaimed expert on the topic. I am running 4 blogs additionally I am a part of a team that is managing 18 different websites. There are several fields that you have to manage which are actually impossible for one individual to do. Especially if you are working alone. Secondly, while writing an effective blog post that will generate respectable traffic you need to go through several stages.

Its not like writing something on social media. It must make perfect sense and should have features that can be picked up by Google algorithms. This way you will attract more readers to your posts and as the number increases so is the prospect of advertisement and affiliate marketing. So, its really not like posting something or anything on social media.Blogging is way deeper than that. I will explain everything in an orderly fashion, have patience.

Thirdly, I will explain at most 2 or 3 topics per post so that it will be easy for you to grasp.

Selecting your niche.

Selecting your niche comes even before starting a blog. I will not go into details of creating a blog because it is a different topic altogether. First of all you must identify the purpose of your blog. Let me explain it properly. There are around 1.7 billion websites. Out of these 200 million are active. To make your mark in this heap you should have something that others don’t. So, if you are working alone then this is the first and most important step in starting your journey.

But if you are working as a content writer, an SEO manager, SMO expert, programmer or an expert of any other field then this will be a headache of your employer. So, if someone has contacted you for your services then they have already resolved it.

Writing an effective post.

Whether you are an owner or a content writer, writing an effective post is most important. But there are some difference of opinion in the approach. When you are independent and want to share something unique with the world then its different. Because in that case helping others with your knowledge and your hardship is the prime focus. Here, other responsibilities like SEO, SMO, dot net coding, JAVA script coding, themes, upload speed and several other parameters don’t matter. But when you are in the blogging for monetary reasons, story is completely different.

Here you need to focus on bring in readers to either your blog or to the blog of your employer. So, your writing style will change completely. You now need to focus on more 14-15 different parameters of online readability. You need to keep in mind at least 6-7 parameters of search engine optimization. There are several other parameters but for them you need to hire a SEO service provider or a team in your organization will do it. Similar is the case with social media optimization, theme selection, Google Ad sense, affiliate marketing and several other parameters.

You can easily see that if you are a part of an organization, even if you are important, still you need to function in coordination to operate successfully.
