Kia Sonet : Kia Motors has been known for its unique features right from the start, which the company has also proved at the time of the launch of its first SUV, the Kia Seltos. And now it is time for Kia Sonet, Kia Motors India has released official pictures of its upcoming sub-compact SUV Sonet. These sketches (photos) give a glimpse of the exterior and interior of the Kia Sonet. Sonet SUV will be introduced on 7 August. The company says that its new SUV will come with superb design and many first-in-segment (first in this segment car) features.
Demand for compact SUV segment is continuously increasing in the Indian market, now another new player is going to be entered in this segment. South Korea’s leading automaker Kia Motors is premiering its Kia Sonet SUV world premiere on August 7, and then it will be launched in September month keeping in mind the festive season. According to media reports, the company can also start booking the new Kia Sonet on August 7 itself.
However, no official information has been received from the company yet about how much the booking amount will be. This SUV will be the third vehicle offered by the company in the Indian market after the Kia Celtos and Cornwall.

Kia Sonet Engine
Kia Motors has not yet shared information about the engine option of the Sonnet SUV. Its engines are expected to be sourced from Hyundai’s Venue SUV. These include 1.2-liter naturally-aspirated petrol, 1.5-liter diesel, and 1.0-liter GDi turbo-petrol engines. The SUV will get a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT automatic, and clutch-less IMT gearbox options or dual-clutch transmission gearbox.
Features
The Kia sonnet will feature a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connected car technology, the first for any car in the segment. High-quality materials have been used for the dashboard. It gets 3-spoke steering wheels, digital instrument cluster, vertical air-con vents with thick silver bezels, and silver bezels around the gear lever.

The front of the sonnet SUV will get Kia’s signature ‘Tiger Nose’ grille, LED DRL, LED headlamp, and sporty front bumpers. In the new photos, it features a black roof, silver roof rails, alloy wheels with heavy wheel arches, LED taillamps, LED stop light strips connecting taillamps, and a large silver fox skid plate.
Talking about the features, this small SUV from Kia is expected to get features like Bose sound system, wireless charging, air-purifier, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, push-button start-stop, and 360-degree camera setup. Apart from these, the Sonnet SUV will get many great safety features including 6-airbags. Its production version will be sub 4 meters, which will compete with the Maruti Brezza in the market.
As per some previous reports, In this, the company has used alloy wheels, body-color door handles, tail lights of unique design, and black garnish paint scheme. In its rear part, the company has used LED taillight which covers the entire rear panel through the logo of the center-mounted. The company has also given a very sporty look to its rear on the lines of its front.

Kia Sonet Launching and price
Although it is difficult to say anything about the price of this SUV before the launch, experts believe that the Sonet can be priced between Rs 7-12 lakhs keeping in mind its competitors. This new SUV from Kia Motors will be unveiled on August 7, while it is expected to be launched in September. In the market, it will compete with vehicles like Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300.
