BS6 Jawa, upcoming new engines.

Air is hot around BS6 jawa and other bikes. As we all know that from coming April, by the order of the Supreme court of India there will be no more BS4. Yes the pollution norms are jumping to an advance stage. There will be no intermediate BS5 pollution norms. Instead, to show its commitment to reduce carbon foot print India is jumping straight BS6 norms. BS6 are more stringent norms. These compel automobile manufacturers to reduce the harmful emissions.

Though others might be struggling but Jawa is ready with BS6 jawa engines.

Transition form BS4 to BS6 Jawa.

When Jawa motorcycles were introduced in India in November 2018. Since then the bike in its two different iterations has been a darling of thousands. I was also drooling over this motorcycle specially the vintage looking version. But I decided to held myself back as its a new product. It seems a wise decision at that point as Jawa was a new venture for Mahindra. By not rushing it I believe that I have saved myself from some trouble. Just as with the launch owners started getting problems with their bikes. Now it seems that Jawa has rectified most of the issues.

The present engine is BS4 and with coming April all will be BS6 jawa for sure. But will buyer will be affected in any way? lets see.

They made it BS6 ready.

Even before the introduction of BS6 norms the Jawa was ready to embrace the change. Their 300 cc engine is BS6 ready and will comply with BS6 norms with some very minor tweaks. I believe that new tweaks and changes will be very small. And these minor tewaks will not blow out new buyer’s pocket. The price difference will not much to be noticed. They must be available without a glitch time needed for updating the product.

This is evident and well established with the launch of Jawa perak. They have given new updated BS6 jawa engine to the perak. So, perak owners need not to worry about anything. And by April 2020 all their models will get BS6 jawa engines.
